Ifølge kopi af ansøgningsformular om enkepension ansøger enken Josephine Proctor om pension efter sin afdøde ægtefælle, William A. Proctor:

"Widow's Pension Claim"
under the Act of 1909, State of Florida, County of Hillsborough.

On this 6th day of August, A.D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and none, personnaly appeared before med, a Clerk Circuit Court in and for the County and State aforesaid Josephine Proctor, a resident of Tampa, County of Hillsborough, State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of Chapter 5885, Laws of Florida, approved June 7, 1909.

That she is the widow of William A. Proctor who was enlisted under the name of William A. Proctor on the 7th day June, 1861, in Company I, 9th Regiment of the state of Georgia, and who was honorably discharged at Appomattax, 1865, on account of close of war.

That she was lawfully married to the said William A. Proctor under the name of Josephine Meisner in the County of Hillsborough, State of Florida on the 8th day of July, 1904 and that she was not divorced from him and that she has not remarried since his death, which occurred on the 7th day of August, 1907, in the County of Hillsborough, State of Florida.
That she is a resident of Hillsborough County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the fall of 1900."
