Ramona Baker (nee: Rafn) Paquette, formerly of Racine and in later years of Two Harbors, Minn., went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her current home at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in Hermantown, Minn.
Ramona was born to Raymond and Marie Rafn on October 7, 1930, in Racine. She loved her family, friends, roller-skate dance competition as a teenager, laughter, her Cadillacs, and her music, in which she played piano, accordion, and trumpet.
Ramona was a Real Estate Broker at Ramona Kaye Realty in Racine and kept her Broker's License until Alzheimer's came into her life 12 years ago. Ramona was employed formerly as an Interior Decorator for Beck's Furniture of Duluth, Minn. and Porter's Furniture of Racine. Ramona was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Two Harbors, Minn.
Ramona is survived by
- daughter, Terri (George) MacFarlane of Two Harbors, Minn.;
- son, Kenton Sharpe of Ogallala, Neb.;
- four granddaughters, Crystal Marie (Matthew) Bosshart of Duluth, Minn., Roxanne Rae (Kevin) Frederick of Esko, Minn., Tiffany Lea (Joshua) McCabe of Minnetonka, Minn., and Tanya Serene MacFarlane of Duluth, Minn.;
- six great-grandchildren, Eva, Sarah, Davin, and Brooklyn Bosshart, Millie Jean and Austin Frederick, and baby to be, McCabe; brother, Gary (Marion) Rafn of Racine; niece, Karen; and nephews, Brian and Wesley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marie Rafn; infant brother, Raymond; and husband, John Knezevich. Services took place on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church followed by burial in Silver Creek Cemetery.
Many thanks to her family at Golden Oaks, Laura, Teri, Barb, Susie, Lynn, and many more family members, who took such great care of Mom; she loved you all!!
